Accessibility shouldn’t be gatekept
There’s so much happening in the world of accessibility and inclusive design: free events, new tools, hot takes, and everyday experiences shared by disabled creators. I used to collect all of that in messy bookmarks and forward links to friends when I thought it might be useful. Eventually, I realized: Why not share it more broadly?
That’s what A11y News is for!
This newsletter curates and comments on what’s happening in accessibility, with a focus on digital inclusion, UX & front-end development, and assistive tech. It’s for anyone who builds or cares about accessible products, especially devs, designers, researchers, and content folks who want to stay informed without having to follow a hundred sources at once.
What to expect:
Every week, I send out one to two issues, either:
A summary of free accessibility events for the coming month (usually a few days before the end of the month), or
An article with takeaways from events, resources, talks, or things I’ve learned lately. Sometimes UX research, sometimes code, sometimes just very cool assistive tech.
I also welcome submissions for community events! If you know about upcoming, accessibility-focused events in your local community, please share them in the chat or comment section.
You don’t have to be an accessibility expert to get something out of A11y News, just curious, open to learning, and interested in building better digital experiences!
Subscribe if that sounds like you!
No spam, just hand-picked, useful accessibility content every week. If it sounds like clickbait, I still promise to deliver on it!
You can unsubscribe anytime, but I think you’ll want to stick around.
