Accessibility User Testing – Making sure you build what users really want
Thursday 24th July, 4:00 PM UK-Time
Accessibility audits are great at making sure your experience meets standards and guidelines, but often people forget the real reason for accessibility… the user.
Testing your product/service with real people with disabilities allows you to ensure you are building solutions that work for users, not just for guidelines. In this webinar we will discuss:
How we train user researchers to include people with disabilities in their research
Why is it important to test with real-world users with disabilities, not just technology experts who also have a disability
How you can use co-creation with people with disabilities to eliminate assumptions, drive innovation, and deliver meaningful experiences
Examples of how all this needs to flex based on the disability of your user, e.g. a user who is blind, who has a mobility impairment or who has a learning difficulty
User testing and research with people with disabilities can unlock insights you may otherwise never have found, and give you confidence that what you create serves a need.
